Celebrates America! These two words bring many images to mind. Pride, freedom, Lady Liberty, American flag, July4th, Washington Monument, red, white, and blue, fireworks, and parades, just to name a few. This year's Night for Kids Charity Dinner Auction is Friday, April 17th and will Celebrate America!
Leading the auction committee are this year's volunteer chairpersons, Fred and Darlene Anderson. They are parents of Milwaukee Lutheran alumni Shaun (2003) and Ryan (2005). Staff and volunteers are busy working with Fred and Darlene as we plan a festive and patriotic celebration for this very special event that supports an outstanding group of kids.
We are very excited to announce that Steve "Homer" True, ESPN 540 Milwaukee; ESPN 100.5 FM Madison, and voice of Men's Marquette basketball, will Emcee our voice auction. His enthusiasm will definitely add a spark of energy that is certain to be crowd pleasing. We are also happy to have Dan Pronley return as auctioneer for the voice auction. This dynamite duo will surely have the crowd exclaiming oohs, and has throughout the evening.
This auction is the largest single fundraising event that benefits all three of our high schools and all the proceeds go towards lowering tuition costs for students. We need your help to achieve our goal of raising $100,000! Please consider contributing to our success by:
- Attending the Charity Dinner Auction
- Making a donation of cash or a gift to be auctioned
- Soliciting your business associates and friends for gifts
- Inviting your friends and family to join you
- Volunteering at the Auction
- Advertising in the auction catalog
We are grateful to all who support the Night for Kids Charity Auction with their time, talent, and treasure. God has greatly blessed us and we praise him for you!
If you have questions about making a donation to this year's auction (cash or new items) please contact Lori in the Association development office (414.421.9100 ext. 216 or lland@lhsagm.org). Invitations have been mailed to past guests and parents. If you would like to attend the auction and did not receive an invitation or would like to advertise in the catalog, please contact Shari in the development office (414.421.9100 ext. 215 or sdebraal@lhsagm.org).
As we celebrate and salute America, we also honor those who have fought for our freedom. Guests who have served (or are serving) our country are invited to wear their military apparel. Guests are also invited to honor loved ones who have served (or are serving) our country by wearing a piece of apparel that represents a branch of the armed forces they favor. And of course, guests are invited to dress in red, white, and blue (business casual). We look forward to seeing you on April 17th as A Night for Kids...Celebrates America!
